Wolves Perched Like Concrete Gargoyles

Wolves Perched Like Concrete Gargoyles

early evening storm clouds
above wolves
perched like concrete gargoyles
on stone mountain cliffs

they track the dusty footprints of
hippos, rhinos, & elephants
over ashen rock

smoke puffs up from
the steel cement battleship

its iron crane
hoisting up the whale
in the fog

the old man powders himself
with graphite

An Update From Arem Kahnr

profile3

Hey friends, Arem Kahnr here. Things are changing at Interopia, as they always do. In fact, that’s one of its main themes. Change.

If you’re reading this, dear Interopian, I’m sure you know about change all too well. Change is inevitable, but thankfully we usually have some control over it.

One change is that you’ll be hearing from me a lot more often. I’ve taken control of the site. Long story short, the site used to be the collaboration between six different members with varying interests: Trent, Liffey, Dr. Tiwtta, Barnopulis, Ghoteman, and Fenix. You can read their biographies in the About section. Awhile back, due to operating costs, Ghoteman, the shaman of the group, performed a ritual ceremony that fused the six souls into one. That’s where I come from. So, in a way, you already know me.

I am now single-handedly responsible for all of the original art and music you see on the site, and I’ve got great news. Looking through the archives, I found so many things that have yet to see the light of day. Looks like the next couple of months are going to be busy.

Regarding previously-released material, have you ever explored the menu bar up top? It contains all sorts of goodies, archived away for future generations. Even longtime Interopians may find something new.

Last, but not least, Interopia’s latest section is Art Selections, conveniently indexing many of my favorite Interopia art pieces by category. Check it out, and remember, most of what you see is also for sale in the store. Interopia artwork makes a great holiday gift.
