Draw Something Contest!
You may remember a few months back Interopia sent an invitation to you to join us on the Draw Something app (user name Interopia). Using a touchscreen device you have to draw the given word and your partner has to guess that word, much in the vein of the classic game Pictionary. While certainly a flawed game (some people take all of the fun out of it by just lazily spelling the given word instead of drawing it), it is good drawing practice. Below are six of the many pictures I have drawn in the past few months. Leave a comment below and guess the words! Interopia will mail a prize to whoever can get the most correct!

I hope you’ve been enjoying the art that’s been posted the past few days. I’m releasing all of the unreleased works and finishing up all of the unfinished works in preparation for 2013. While going through some old files I found the above image, titled dfgjr. It’s just a little doodle I made in a few seconds back in 2009. Pretty sure he started out as a spiral, quickly evolving into a bipedal reptilian being of some sort. I post it here because I think there is a certain value to doodles, those creations we never expect anyone to see, created when the mind is allowed to wander. Finding dfgjr years later was like finding an old friend, a friend I wanted to introduce to all of you. But instead of just posting the doodle, I thought I’d also make an updated version. Please say hello to the 2012 version of dfgjr:
Perhaps by the end of 2013 I’ll have enough creatures to publish The Interopia Encyclopedia of Invented Creatures!
